In December 2013 the League of Friends funded the purchase of frames and the wall hanging system for a display of artwork from students at South Gloucestershire and Stroud (SGS) College, Stroud Campus along the walls at Bowbridge Outpatients Department at Stroud General Hospital. Since then there has been a rolling programme of artwork with original and varied images for both visitors and staff to enjoy.

Earlier this month, the current frames and artwork were taken down, new artwork fitted within the frames and then students from the College came along with one of their tutors to rehang this artwork within Bowbridge Outpatients.

Kerry vonZschock from SGS, Stroud Campus in Stratford Road, Stroud explains:

‘This work is a combination of Level 1 and 2 Art and Design students from SGS College, Stroud Campus. The subjects cover a variety of topics from their course work such as still life drawings using colour and tone, images based on a trip to the Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford, collages of self portraits and paintings experimenting with colour and tone. The College would like to thank Stroud Hospital for facilitating the Work Experience element of their course.’
