The annual Stroud Hospital service was held at Holy Trinity Church at 6.30pm on Sunday 14th October and was led by the Chaplaincy Coordinator, Revd. Dr. Alison Evans. A welcome was given by Revd. Simon Howell, Vicar of Holy Trinity.
During the service Sr. Helen Acock (representing Matron Juliette Richardson) gave an update on recent developments at Stroud General Hospital and Dr. Roma Walker, Chair of the League of Friends spoke about the work of the League of Friends during the past year. The preacher at the service was Revd. David Hughes, Lead Chaplain for the 2gether NHS Foundation Trust who also led the recommissioning of the hospital chaplaincy team.
Musical contributions were provided by the Supertroopers Age Concern Choir and by soprano soloist Philippa Lay. A collection for the work of the League of Friends was taken up.
