Stroud Hospitals League of Friends would like to invite people to join us at our Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 13 September 2017 at the Subscription Rooms, Stroud. The meeting begins at 7.30 p.m. with our special guest, Mr James Bristol MD FRCS, Consultant General & Breast Surgeon. Mr Bristol has clinics at Stroud General Hospital and his talk is entitled ‘The Genomics Revolution – the 100,000 Genomes Project and You’. These talks, at the beginning of our meeting, are always very informative and interesting and everyone is invited to attend.
Following a refreshment break the agenda includes a review of the activities of the League of Friends during the past year and latest updates regarding Stroud Hospitals.
This year the members of the League of Friends will welcome our new Chair, Dr Roma Walker. Roma is taking on the role of Chair from one of our long standing Trustees, Dr Gordon Horner who has been the interim Chair for the past year since the retirement of David Miller MBE at the last Annual General Meeting. The Officers and General Committee of the Friends are extremely thankful for all Dr Horner’s hard work and enthusiasm over the past year and also look forward to an extended, fruitful and rewarding relationship with our new Chair, Dr Roma Walker.
