Stroud Hospitals League of Friends

We are a small but highly effective local charity funding major infrastructure projects and state-of-the-art equipment for Stroud General and Maternity hospitals, and we provide community healthcare in the Five Valleys.

Stroud General Hospital

Over the years Stroud League of Friends has made significant contributions to the development of the operating theatre, and to the ultrasound, endoscopy and complex leg would services in particular, in addition to many other areas.

Community Projects

In addition to the Respite Care project at Horsfall, the League of Friends fund projects at Stroud Maternity (pre- and post-natal yoga, and singing), and at Weavers Croft (Men’s Shed and Gardening).

Stroud Hospitals League of Friends is a registered charity whose aim is to support the two hospitals and the health and welfare of the local community.

150th ANNIVERSARY OF THE HOSPITAL

The Bishop of Gloucester, Bishop Rachel Treweek has agreed to come to a service celebrating the 150th anniversary of the hospital on the present site. This will be at 3 pm on Sunday 6 July 2025 at Holy Trinity Church, Stroud, next to the hospital.
